UPDATE on Lauren: thetaphiskuttle

Just after i posted my last post about me not being able to see her because she was in ICU, she texted me and said she had her room, so i sped down there LOL!  I was so happy to see her, she only has a little shoulder pain, and she was suprisingly really concious and talkative!   What a trip down memory lane going to that wing again.  She decided to get up and walk for the first time, she got up, no prob and took---get this----20 laps around the unit!!!!! Our unit is set up like and oval  and the first day i was there, i could only walk a half a lap due to the pain, and this chick walked 20!!!! i'm soooooo proud of her and soooo glad shes doing well. the only thing that shes upset about is the HEAT in the room! it was sooo hot and trust me, i havent been physically hot in months. her parents are getting her a fan, but it was making her a little naseous before i left. i will be visitng her tomorrow again! she tells everyone on OH thanks for the support! I know shes gonna do great!! <3 Karen

WOW Sounds like shes a rockstar! Glad she is doing well.

Wow! 20 laps? Wow!  If she keeps that up she will be doing 5k's before she is even back on solid foods! Awesome!
